Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen has announced that he will be joining the Alfa Romeo Sauber team for the 2019 and 2020 season.
After weeks and months of speculation the current Ferrari driver took to his ever-popular Instagram account to announce the move. “Guess who’s back?! Next two years with @sauberf1team ahead!” he wrote. “Feels extremely good to back where it all began!”.
As the last Ferrari world champion, to date, Raikkonen returns to the team where he made his debut in 2001. It is also believed that the Finn is set to take part ownership of the Sauber team from 2019 onward.
