Ferrari reserve driver Esteban Gutierrez will make his testing debut for Ferrari in the first in season test at Barcelona.

Testing will start on Tuesday and will conclude on Wednesday. Gutierrez will be at the wheel of the SF15-T on Wednesday while Ferrari Academy and GP2 driver for Trident Racing, Raffaele Marciello will have his chance on Tuesday.

Speaking to AutoSport, Gutierrez was quite excited at the chance.

“You can imagine how special it is for me,” said the young Mexican

“This was not planned at the beginning of the year, and now I have been given the opportunity to drive the car.

“It will be a chance for me to give a different perspective and feedback, and also to make a correlation to the simulator.

“It will be an important day – one of the most special of my career.
