Sebastian Vettel Fastest in FP3 at the Nurburgring

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel took the honour for the fastest time in the final free practice session of the German Grand Prix

Vettel’s time of 1:29.517 on the soft tyres was the fastest of the morning and 0.676s faster than Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg, who did a 1:30.193 for P2. Mark Webber in the sister Red Bull finished the session in P3 with a 1:30.211, 0.694s slower than his team mates time. Lewis Hamilton could only manage P7 as he was struggling with over-steer the entire session. The two Ferrari’s of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa finished the session in P4 and P5 respectively.

The session was incident free which allowed all the teams to carry out their final preparations before qualifying.

It looks as though Vettel might take pole position in qualifying later on if his FP3 pace is anything to go by.
