Michael Schumacher’s wife has put the seven time Formula One world champion’s private jet up for sale.
The silver Falcon 2000EX, which bears Schumacher’s ‘MS’ logo on the tail and a personalised registration ‘M-IKEL’, has clocked up hundreds of thousands of air miles flying around the world both during and after Schumacher’s F1 career.
According to Germany’s Bild newspaper, Schumacher’s wife Corinna has chosen to sell the now unused jet, with the world champ recovering from brain injuries following his skiing accident in December last year. The German is believed to be recovering slowly. Speaking to German women’s weekly magazine Neue Post at a horse-riding tournament in Germany, Mrs Schumacher said: “It’s getting better, slowly certainly, but in any case it’s improving.”
Schumacher’s jet was originally bought for EUR 25 million and Mrs Schumacher is reportedly seeking EUR 20 million. Anyone have some spare change lying around?
