2013 Formula 1 British Grand Prix – Free Practice 1 Results

Daniel Ricciardo

In what was largely an uneventful Free Practice 1 session in Silverstone, Daniel Ricciardo set the fastest time of the session in his Toro Rosso with a 1:54.249.

The rain soaked session seen many drivers complete installation laps at the start of the session and for the rest of the time relaxed with a cup of tea. With 10 minutes to go in the session some of the drivers decided to set a few times which resulted in Ricciardo in P1. Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg was P2 with a 1:55.033 and Williams’ Pastor Maldonado finished P3 with a 1:55.354. There were quite a few twitchy over-steer moments on the track. Charles Pic ended up in the tyre barrier at the exit of Club corner.

It looks as though FP2 will have similar conditions to FP1. Lets hope we have more running in FP2.
