Video: Massa gatecrashes Alonso interview to find out where he’s going

After Red Bull’s announcement that Sebastian Vettel will be leaving the team at the end of the season, and Alonso’s imminent departure from Ferrari, the rumour mills are in full swing again. And the drivers seem to love this silly season business as much as we all do. Felipe Massa had a bit of fun with Alonso during a post-qualifying interview ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. Massa gatecrashed Alonso’s interview asking, “Are you going to Marussia? Huh? Huh? Caterham?”.  Alonso laughed it off but quickly responded to Massa saying, “Come to Ferrari”. Haha. It’s good to see that the drivers can still be light hearted about it all.

Video: Watch an F1 car doing thermal donuts. It’s INSANELY cool!

This is one of the coolest F1 videos you’re going to see in a very long time.

We all know how cool doing donuts in an F1 car is. We also all love the thermal cameras we get to see glimpses of during a Formula One race weekend. Combine the two together and it’s just sheer thermal donut magic!

Infiniti Red Bull Racing teamed up with thermal imaging company FLIR to gather some info on how the RB10 F1 car’s various parts and components heat up and cool off so that the team could work on better managing temperatures and improve reliability.

Clearly Red Bull realised how insanely cool their cars look in infrared so they sent the RB8, the team’s 2012 car, to the Gamma Racing Day in the Netherlands earlier this month to show off a few thermal donuts. The results are so much of cool. Bits of molten tyre flying around feel almost volcanic. This is by far the best thermal F1 video we’ve ever seen!

Nico Rosberg 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix Post Race Interview

Nico Rosberg tells Sky Sports F1’s Natalie Pinkham that the Mercedes team will have to “discuss internally” whether Lewis Hamilton should have let him pass in 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix. He is visibly unimpressed and annoyed. Rosberg was heard over team radio asking why Lewis was not letting him pass, and Hamilton was given a direct team order to allow Rosberg to pass him as they were on different strategies for the race. Hamilton however refused and has said that he made the right decision for him. No doubt there’ll be a team orders row brewing over at Mercedes.

  • Video: Felipe Massa rolls in scary Turn 1 crash at Hockenheim

Video: Felipe Massa rolls in scary Turn 1 crash at Hockenheim

Brazilian Formula One driver, Felipe Massa, crashed and rolled in spectacular fashion just seconds after the start of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim on Sunday.

Massa’s German GP lasted only a matter of seconds after he was clipped and rolled by Kevin Magnussen at the first corner on the first lap of the race.

F1 Rookie Magnussen had taken the inside line into the corner in an attempt to pass Massa, only to find the Brazilian attempting to sweep through the corner ahead of him. This did not work out for either driver and ended with Massa’s Williams in the gravel and out of the race.

Thankfully, Massa walked away from the incident unharmed but another DNF to his name despite the much-improved performace of his Williams car, will not have him feeling anything but bitterly disaapointed. .

The stewards investigated the incident but ruled that it was a racing incident and no further action was taken against Massa or Magnussen.
