Nasr Incurs Penalty for Impeding Massa
November 14, 2015 Featured Stories

Brazilian drive Felipe Nasr will drop 3-places ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix race on Sunday after impeding fellow countryman Williams’ Felipe Massa in Q1.

Massa was on a timed lap with a few minutes left in the session when he came up to Nasr in the Sauber who was on a warm up lap. Nasr didn’t move over in time to let Massa through which resulted in the Williams driver running off the track to avoid the Sauber. Massa was fortunate enough to have a second throw of the dice to get a time in which seen him narrowly making it to Q2.

They were both summoned to the stewards after qualifying where they decided to levy a 3-place grid drop and two penalty points on his super licence.

Nasr qualified in 11th place but was to become 10th after Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo’s engine penalty is applied. He will now start in 13th.
