Fernando Alonso brought the Spanish crowd into sheer ecstasy when he beat the rest of the field to take the win in Barcelona.

He finished ahead of Kimi Raikkonen with what really was a commanding lead.

Team mate Felipe Massa finished third to take the final spot on the podium for his first podium of the season.
