The Formula 1 Commission and the Formula 1 Strategy Group met at the FIA headquarters today regarding the future of the sport.
FIA President Jean Todt and F1 CEO Chase Carey were also in attendance at the meeting.
“Positive and constructive discussions were held regarding the future of Formula 1,” said the FIA in a statement about the talks that were held.
Changes to the 2019 technical regulations were discussed and below changes were agreed upon to go to the World Motorsport Council to be ratified.
Discussions on aerodynamics changes are ongoing. The FIA are working with the teams to find solutions. Their research is scheduled to be completed at the end of April 2018.
The FIA, at the meeting, also presented their 2021 power unit proposals which entail the following:
Talks will continue with current manufacturers and potential future manufacturers with a view of concluding the 2021 engine regulations before the end of May 2018.
